Vancouver, BC jazz vocalist and songwriter, Nancy Newman shines across the borders of jazz, pop, and originals. Lush evocative vocals, heartfelt interpretation, and creative improvisation define Nancy’s performances. With a voice that is delectably nuanced, flowing, and fluid, Nancy sings with captivating honesty, in a style that is hers and hers alone.

DREAM is Nancy’s third album following ‘Palace of the Moon’ (originals) and ‘You Never Know’ (jazz covers). DREAM celebrates two types of dreams: conscious dreams which inspire hope, and sleep state dreams which lead to self revelation. It was inspired by Nancy’s lifelong fascination with her own dreams, and her therapeutic exploration of dreams as a Rehabilitation Counsellor. Joining her on this album are prominent Canadian jazz musicians Jennifer Scott/piano, Rene Worst/bass, Buff Allen/percussion, and Bill Buckingham/synth.
